Reasons why I hate Mac OS X:
- Theme-ability is at an absolute minimum.
- The menu bar can’t (as far as I’m aware of, without making usability nearly impossible) be removed.
- Hardware specific unless you’re running a Hackintosh, which is illegal and a pain in the ass.
- The hardware for it is often wildly overpriced
- It’s basically just a commercialized UNIX derivative.
- For this bullet, I’ll use an argument that was made IN FAVOR of Macs. I’m paraphrasing but I believe it was something along the lines of “They repaired over $1700 of damages for absolutely free.”. Mac uses shit hardware that, from what I’ve seen, is consistently prone to failure. Unless you attack it with a hammer every few weeks, you will never accumulate anywhere NEAR $1700 of repairs (free or not) on a PC, pre-built or custom built.
- Completely closed-source.
- Upgrades cost money.
